nape piercing

went for dinner with geraldine at city square mall and tried escargots for the first time ever!!! it was pretty good, and the slime didn't gross me out as i thought it would lol.

oh and i pierced my nape at a shop called ink by finch. it's in peninsula shopping centre and the guy is really really nice!!! i was extremely nervous, and finch was trying to calm me down. he has this fatherly/ brotherly tone that makes you feel safe, to be honest. throughout the whole piercing process when the needle went through my neck, i kept blabbering stuff to another guy who was sitting opposite me haha. before they started, they actually asked about my last meal and told me about how my blood pressure might be a little low since i ate 7 hours ago...... and they also waited for me to buy food and finish it, and didn't rush me at all wtf!!!

i got it done for only $55 can you believe it!!!! it's not a sloppy shop, in fact it seems quite safe. i brought xiaoqian to do her naval and carolyn to do her tongue, and so far all the piercings are great. he's really experienced and he gave me advice on aftercare too :-) i checked out their facebook page to see his tattoo creations, and my goodness it all looks so amazing. in the future when i decide to get a tattoo, i'm definitely going back to him.

oh and when finch dropped his marker cap, he said "can you help me to pick that up dear? i'm way too fat" HAHAHAHAHA.

steph pierced her auricle right after me!!! we are such brave people.

one more thing to strike off on our book of "things to do before we're 30" (piercing something together)

it's been almost two weeks since i've pierced my nape, and i'm really glad to say that the piercing looks extremely healthy - no infections/ no blood/ no pus. in fact, it doesn't feel like there's anything there at all. i've been dancing quite a lot, and it hasn't obstructed any of my movements. thankfully i sleep sideways, so i wouldn't apply pressure to the piercing at night. the only drawback is the paranoia, i'm always afraid that it'll get caught in my hair or my blouse, so i'm really careful. i don't want any rejections haha.

after i tweeted about the piercing, i literally got ten replies saying "ouch" "did it hurt" "that looks painful" or something along the lines. my friends who saw it kept cringing and asking the same thing. but to be honest, no it really isn't that painful. i'm not sure if i have a high threshold of pain or if the adrenaline drove me to numbness, but i expected it to be a lot worse.
