Yesterday afternoon, I received a text from Seekim and Mianyou. There was only one word in the message.
Silver.
When I saw that word, my heart sank immediately. It was completely unexpected for me. I know that we didn't perform that well, but I didn't know we were that bad either. We practiced hard, especially when 29th of March was approaching. We even had dance practices 6 times a week. We all tried our best to accomplish the dance to the best of our abilities during the rehearsals. I couldn't spot a single soul who didn't perspire.
I feel sad not solely because we didn't get the results we wanted, but also because I feel sad for my juniors. I can honestly tell you that the secondary threes have improved tremendously. The amount of hard work they put in from the first day they stepped into the dance studio is.. Wow.
All of us learnt a lot through this journey. We built strong friendships, gained new experiences and I'm so sure our flexibilities are way better than before.
This morning, Ms Ang/ Ji Lao Shi/ Ms Wong/ Mdm Tan/ Mr Goh had a talk with the dancers. I must say that it's a very emotional talk. Crying is awfully contagious. You could hear sobs throughout the grand auditorium.
As Mdm Kee said, COURAGE. Wipe those tears, dear ones :)
I sincerely hope we can dance as a troupe together again. I'll definitely miss Dance Club when I leave Chung Cheng.
I love all of you.
(Yes, even that bitch whom we keep gossiping about.)
Dance Club huat ah!
